Julian Costley is the author of the guidebook for entrepreneurs: HOW TO: USE CROWDFUNDING. He’s an expert on raising capital, an active angel investor, and a professional chairman/NED.
He was a Country Manager at Thomson Reuters, then created his own TV channel on BSB (later BSkyB), then founding CEO of France Telecom’s Globecast satellite company. He then met venture capitalist Hermann Hauser in 1998 and together they created E*TRADE UK the UK’s first all-Internet stockbroking firm and effected a trade sale at the height of the dotcom boom.
Since then he has invested in 22 companies and become chairman/NED or adviser to many more focusing on the financial services, media, telecoms, and internet markets in UK, Netherlands, Scandinavia, France, Canada, and China. He’s also leading a start-up which will launch in Autumn 2018.
He is an occasional lecturer/mentor/MBA course judge at London Business School, Said (Oxford) University, EDHEC (Nice), UM (Barcelona), and Skema Business School (Sophia Antipolis).
He now lives back in the UK after 7 years in France. His interests/passions are his four children, design, storytelling, sailing, tennis, guitar, and opera.
Jure Mikuz is a VC fund manager with broad experience in deal structuring, business modelling and helping startups to grow their businesses.
Jure founded the first Slovenian VC Fund, raising funds from established Slovenian companies and public sources. Jure serves as a board member in multiple portfolio companies including Celtra, Marg, and Degordian. He actively promotes entrepreneurship and regularly holds lectures on finance and fundraising procedures for the start-up. Jure holds a M.Sc. in Management from the University of Ljubljana.
Jure is also the co-founder and managing partner at South Central Ventures. With offices in Belgrade, Zagreb and Skopje, South Central Ventures (SCV), through Enterprise Innovation Fund (ENIF), is focused on tech companies in the Balkans. The € 40 million fund is dedicated primarily to early stage and growth investments.
Farah has experience in both entrepreneurship and venture capital. She is currently the Head of Venture Growth at Falak Startups and has previously founded an Edutainment start-up of her own and worked with Endeavor Egypt. Prior to Falak Startups, Farah was with NI Capital’s Advisory team, working closely with government officials to address systemic challenges across various sectors.
On the side, Farah heads NOLA Cupcake’s events business and does educational consultancy. Farah graduated from King’s College London with a BA in Development and Urban Geography and a specialization in Urban Policy.
A seasoned European Sales Executive, Marcel has substantial field experience helping IT and Telecom startups in the US and EMEA. Marcel has a broad range of experience in all aspects of sales, marketing, communication and management with direct experience with Fortune 500 enterprises (IBM, Nortel, Lucent, Cisco, EMC, ALU) and startups (Quantum, Andrew Networks, Pluris, Corvis, Ascend and Airespace). During the course of his career he has held VP roles most notably as VP EMEA Corvis (first all optical router) where he grew the team and business to an outstanding success. Of French-Algerian and British origin, Marcel launched his career after completing a BSC in Electronics and Computer Science from Portsmouth Polytechnic UK. He walked away from his first position with IBM UK as an Applications Engineer greatly relieved to embark on a career in sales…his forte and passion.

Three major highlights from his career include helping Airespace to be the #2 WLAN in EMEA market share and positioned Cisco to be #1 WLAN vendor worldwide. He has helped start promoting Cisco VCE alliance (VMware, EMC, Cisco) and the BMC OEM relationship to Kick Start their first SP IaaS Cloud offering on a worldwide basis .He also pioneered the French ISP Internet business while leading Ascend’s insertion into FT/Orange first ISP business to include ISDNET, OLEANE and Internetway.
Marcel most recently left CISCO after 30 years in IT and Telecom Sales to start his new venture as a Business Angel to help startups with seed money, VC connections and Business development. Vaelsys,Microgine ,FAVEEO ,Digitalarti and Cyberflowanalytics are five of his star ventures.

Candace Johnson is a global infrastructure, network and innovation expert and entrepreneur. She is co-initiator of SES/ASTRA and SES Global, the world’s pre-eminent satellite group. She is also founding President of Europe Online Investments S.A. and founder of Loral Cyberstar-Teleport Europe. Ms. Johnson is also founding President of the VATM, the Association of Private Telecom Operators in Germany and founding President of the Global Telecom Women’s Network (GTWN).

Marta-Patricia Aparicio y Montesinos has been the Founder and Managing Director of Keymon Ventures since 2017, from where she invests in startups and scale-ups around the world. She is also chairwoman of Keymon Angels, the second Business Angel Network in Croatia and first organizer of a Business Angel Academy in the country. She holds an Global Executive MBA from the IESE Business School and is a CFA Level II Candidate. She has over 13 years of early-stage equity experience as a Portfolio Supervisor, Investment Officer, LP, analyst, advisor, evaluator and mentor (220 entrepreneurs mentored and +3,000 start-up projects analyzed). Marta led the design of Xcala, a Regional Platform to support BA networks in Latin Amwerica and the Caribbean countries. She s Evaluator and Expert on Alternative Finance Instruments for the European Commission´s HORIZON 2020 Program for innovative SMEs since 2014 and for the EBRD since 2019. From 2009 to 2011 she was General Manager of IESE’s Business Angels Network and the Spanish Business Angels Networks Association (2009-10). Previously, she held a number of financial and general management positions in various multinationals.
Keith Wallace is a Scotsman with a passion for entrepreneurs and deal-making. Having founded the Dutch Investors Club (DeInvesteerdersClub) he put his vision of joint investments within the Netherlands and further afield into effect. With deals in Africa and Asia, as well as Europe, this small group of active investors has striven from the beginning to make impact as well as financial returns. Working with the Hivos Foundation, he was part of the team that founded Hivos Impact Investments, where he sits in the investment team and manages the portfolio companies of the Hivos Food and Lifestyle Fund (Southern Africa) and the Hivos Mideast Creatives Fund (MENA). Keith is also Global Ringmaster of Get In The Ring, an international entrepreneurial competition that takes place in over 100 countries and allows him to wear top hat and tails, even in the tropics.
